Waterloo City Government
Waterloo's local government is composed of a mayor and city council of 7 ward representatives who are elected to a four-year term. The most recent election was in 2014. Waterloo also has a regional government with representatives from the cities and townships of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot, and Woolwich. These representatives also serve four-year terms and the current council will serve until 2018.
